Accessibility statement

Last updated: 13 July 2026

a11yfy exists to make documents accessible — so we hold our own website and application to the same standard we help our customers meet. This statement describes the accessibility of a11yfy.com and the a11yfy web application.

1. Our commitment

We are committed to ensuring that a11yfy is usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, switch devices, or keyboard-only navigation.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, in line with the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the harmonised standard EN 301 549.

In practice this means, among other things:

  • All functionality is operable with a keyboard alone.
  • Pages use semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and landmarks.
  • Interactive controls have accessible names and visible focus indicators.
  • Text and interface elements meet WCAG contrast requirements in both light and dark themes.
  • Forms have programmatically associated labels and clear error messages.
  • The interface respects reduced-motion preferences.
  • Content is available in multiple languages, with the page language declared for assistive technologies.

2. Conformance status

The a11yfy website and application are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: most content conforms, and we are actively working on the exceptions listed below. Accessibility checks are part of our development process, and new features are reviewed against WCAG 2.1 AA before release.

3. Known limitations

We are aware of the following limitations and are working to resolve them:

  • Third-party checkout: payment is handled by our Merchant of Record (Paddle) in an embedded checkout component whose accessibility we do not fully control. If you encounter a barrier during checkout, contact us and we will complete your purchase through an alternative channel.
  • PDF previews: the in-browser rendering of uploaded PDF documents reflects the accessibility of the source document; documents that are not yet remediated may not be fully readable with assistive technology inside the preview. The downloadable remediated output is the accessible deliverable.
  • Complex data visualisations: some diagnostic charts in the application are supplemented with text alternatives, but the interactive chart elements themselves may offer a reduced experience with some screen readers.

4. Feedback and contact

If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on a11yfy, or need information from this site in an alternative format, please tell us:

  • Email: support@a11yfy.com — please include the word "Accessibility" in the subject line, the page or feature affected, and the assistive technology you were using.

We aim to respond within 5 business days and to remedy verified barriers as quickly as practicable.

5. Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the market surveillance or enforcement body responsible for digital accessibility in your EU member state. In Hungary, complaints regarding accessibility of digital services may be addressed to the competent consumer protection authority.

6. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 13 July 2026, based on self-assessment using automated testing (including our own remediation engine and browser accessibility tooling) and manual review with keyboard-only navigation and screen readers. It will be reviewed whenever material changes are made to the website or application, and at least annually.

a11yfy produces PDF/UA-1 tagged PDFs — the technical foundation required by EN 301 549 (the EAA and the EU Web Accessibility Directive) and referenced by US Section 508 and ADA guidance. Accessibility regulations also cover process and content-quality requirements that no tool can fully automate; our reports show exactly what was fixed and what needs human judgment. a11yfy is a technology provider, not a law firm; this site is not legal advice.
