About a11yfy certificates
For every remediated document we issue, alongside the PDF/UA-1 validated file, its own a11yfy accessibility certificate. It records exactly which file was checked, when, with which treatment, and against which veraPDF version — so the file isn't just compliant, it's provably so.
We keep the certificate for at least 5 years, and it stays retrievable at any time — by certificate ID or by re-uploading the file (fingerprint match). If an audit or regulator needs proof of accessibility, it's one click away.
Technically, every certificate carries an Ed25519 digital signature over a canonical payload: the certificate ID, the exact issue timestamp, the output file's SHA-256 fingerprint, the page count, the treatment type, and the veraPDF version used for validation. The signature is verifiable with our public key right here on this page; any later change to the file immediately breaks the fingerprint match.
